Hello and welcome one and all to my ethnography blog. This blog will be specifically dedicated to the research and study of the musical Rent - its history, its production, and most importantly, its fan base. Musical theater is one rather overlooked musical subculture, and Rent, with such a large following and unusual "rock opera" style music, could easily be considered a subculture of its own. With this blog, I will be looking into all that is Rent - the making of it and its effects on the youth of America.
